R&D Circuits Adds 2nd Shift to their Assembly Operation
December 15th, 2009South Plainfield, NJ: R&D Circuits, manufacturer of advanced printed circuit boards and assemblies, has announced that it is adding a 2nd shift to its assembly operation, which is expected to be fully staffed and operational in January 2010.
At a time when many organizations are still plagued with reductions in staff, Tom Bresnan, Director of Sales & Marketing, had this to say about R&D’s impressive growth, “Business in our segment has been strong, and we anticipate our business doing even better in 2010. The addition of this 2nd shift for our assembly operation is part of a growth plan for R&D that we are pleased to be able to implement. It will serve to double our assembly capacity, which is necessary due to the addition of several new customers.”
R&D has continued to grow over the past several years, expanding both the scope and size of its operations. R&D acquired Anestel Corporation in 2008, further developing their board-to-board interconnect product offering; and is poised for several manufacturing process line optimizations and additions in the coming year.

March Plasma Systems PCB-800 Plasma System selected by R&D Circuits for Advanced PWB Manufacturing
November 21st, 2008March Plasma Systems PCB-800 Plasma System selected by R&D Circuits for Advanced PWB Manufacturing
Concord, CA, November 21, 2008 – March Plasma Systems, the global leader in advanced plasma processing systems, announced today that R&D Circuits, a leading manufacturer of advanced printed wiring boards (PWBs), has invested in a new PCB-800 plasma system for its South Plainfield, NJ, production facility, in order to improve its on-site PWB manufacturing capabilities.
The PCB-800 plasma system will enable R&D Circuits to do desmear and etch-back plasma processing of very thick boards. These thick boards contain high aspect ratio blind vias and through holes, in some cases at aspect ratios of more than 40 to 1, which must be thoroughly and completed treated.
‘‘We selected a PCB-800 plasma system from March Plasma Systems because it meets our demanding PWB production requirements. It can process advanced PWB materials, and also very high aspect ratio through holes and blind vias. We are looking forward to getting the new PCB-800 plasma system installed and into production as soon as possible,’‘ said Dan Turpuseema, Director of Engineering, at R&D Circuits.
